A Day At Steele Farms

My family recently had a fun-filled day at Steele Farms! This is a great place to take the family and spend the day. It is a locally owned farm outside of Decatur, Indiana. While there we enjoyed the corn maze, the pumpkin patch and an awesome market filled with fall decorations and other goodies. They have many activities for kids, as well.

We started out in the corn maze. They have an added twist when entering the corn maze, the corn maze scavenger hunt. Each person that enters gets a card that you get punches on while in the corn maze. Inside the maze are five check points where you will find a hole punch to mark your card. If you are able to find all five of the check points you can turn your card in and get entered into a drawing for a gift card.

The Market is full of fall decorations and seasonal treats. It's decorated so beautifully, it is fun to just look at the decorations. If you need a snack, you can get that too, at the concession stand! They have a wagon hayride to enjoy as part of your visit, as well!

They have so many fun things to do for kids! In addition to the Corn Maze and picking out a pumpkin in their pumpkin patch, they have a barrel train and they can enjoy climbing the straw mountain! They even have a small petting zoo. This guy was real friendly, he came right up to us. I'm sure he thought we were going to feed him, but it was so cute. He kept jumping up on the fence and really enjoyed us petting him!

We finished up picking out our pumpkins in the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. We had a great day. If you are ever in the Decatur area in the fall, Steele farms is a great place to spend the day! They open late in September and close around the 1st of November. I want to thank my daughter, Brooke, for taking the amazing photos included in this article!
