  6. My favorite tradition is that we host Airmen/women that are in Basic Training at Lackland AFB, for Thanksgiving dinner under their program called, "Operation Homecooking". We pick up 2-3 Airmen/women and bring them home for a warm cooked meal, let them watch whatever they want on tv, let them call their families and stay on the phone as long as they need, and use our computer to touch base with whomever they'd like, as all of these privileges are stripped away when they are in Basic. Although they are away from their families, we try to make them feel at home and treat them like our family. It brings us great joy giving back to our military by this small gesture. This will be our 7th year hosting, and will continue this as long as we are allowed. By far, this is my favorite tradition.
